Healing Through Art

Art Exhibition

Work by Mulenga Chafilwa, Stary Mwaba, James Nicholls, and the Children of the Kasisi Children's Home

at the Center

This exhibition presents paintings created by the children of the Kasisi Children's Home, a haven for AIDS orphans in Lusaka, Zambia. Artists Stary Mwaba and Mulenga Chafilwa donate their time and passion to teach the children of the orphanage the joy of artistic expression. Photographer James Nicholls, whose works will also be on display, has traveled to Zambia to record this extraordinary collaboration.

A reception will be held on Tuesday, December 11th, 6pm-8pm, with a silent auction to benefit the Kasisi Children's Home.

The event was organized by Candace Dwan, James Nicholls, Danae Sardanis, and The Philoctetes Center.
